Smart Phone Ecosystems Before and After WebOS Shutdown

Before HP's decision to discontinue webOS devices, one would have said the main contenders in the smart phone business were Apple, Research in Motion, Android and Microsoft as the smartphone alternatives to Android.

After the webOS decision, the list still reads Apple, Research in Motion, Android and Microsoft.
