Half of U.S. Small Businesses Don't Use Social Media

Small-business insurance specialist Hiscox says many U.S. small businesses do not use social media to support their businesses. Only 12 percent of businesses surveyed view social media promotion as a "must" and 47 percent of respondents aren’t using social media at all.

Of respondents using social media, 19 percent use Facebook, 15 percent use LinkedIn and four percent use Twitter.
