One Example of "Post-PC Era"


With the possible exception of video chat, there's almost nothing related to communications or content consumption that most people do not engage in, on their smart phones.

We shouldn't be surprised. Observers long have predicted that the Internet would be pervasive. Use of applications and computing on a wider range of everyday appliances is one facet of that change.

If there is a meaning to the phrase
"post-PC era," it is that it finally is clear to everybody that computing has moved off the desk and begun its embedding in a wide range of commonly-used devices.
